Suza Creative
This program encompasses all cultural projects in the broadest sense of the term. The artistic programming is characterized by the will to localize creation in an a priori "non-artistic" environment; on the periphery of the traditional centers of diffusion and of the art economy; with the will to root this creation within the communities.
The MAM Foundation invites researchers and creators from various disciplines to come and observe, create, share their points of view and their creations in the Fabrique de Suza, a place of creative residences, with a strong will to root this creation in the communities and improve their well-being.
The duration of the residencies varies between one and four months and is divided into three phases. Ideally, there is a first contact with the environment, then the development of the residency and finally, the phase of restitution of the project. The MAM Foundation has a capacity of twenty residents.
Engraving workshop
Noting the virtual absence of artistic engraving workshops in Douala and the surrounding area, the idea is to set up an engraving workshop in Grand Suza to enable artists to engrave works of art.

CREATION RESIDENCIES
David Damoison and Philip Aguirre
Philip Aguirre, sculptor, who, after consultation with the village community, will create a stadium sculpture. This is a collective facility, conceived as a functional work of art which, through its aesthetics and execution, will fulfil a dual function as a place for playful, sporting and human encounters. An agora at the heart of which the people of the village will feel proud to have participated in its creation.
Photographer David Damoison will make the inhabitants of Grand Suza the heroes of their own story by creating intimate portraits. A photography workshop with the young students as protagonists will enable the organization of an exhibition which, more than a simple artistic event, will produce a reflection on self-representation and the projected image. The portraits on display will form a pathway linking the village to the MAM Foundation, creating a bridge, a royal alley.
Alexis Peskin
Alexis Peskine was born in Paris in 1979 of Russian and Brazilian parents. He lives and works in Paris, Salvador, Dakar and New York. Alexis Peskine graduated in painting and photography from the prestigious Howard University in Washington, D.C., then specialized in digital and video art at the Maryland Institute College of art in Baltimore. After a four-month residency in Grand Suza at the Fondation MAM, Alexis Peskine presented "Edube - Révérence".
